Business Block Widget Frequently Asked Questions
These answers match Business Block Widget 2.0.0. The plugin displays contact information you enter. It does not include a paid upgrade or a license key.
Does Business Block Widget require Elementor?
No. The classic widget, the settings screen, and the [business-block] shortcode work without Elementor. Install Elementor when you want the Business Block widget with style controls. Inside Elementor, the plain WordPress widget is hidden so you use the Elementor version.
Where is business data stored?
Each classic widget instance stores its own fields in widget settings. Shortcode attributes live in the post or page content. Elementor stores values in the layout where you place the widget. Global defaults live in the business-block-widget-options option from Settings → Business Block Widget.
Can I show the business name without repeating it in the title?
Yes. Leave the widget title empty and the heading uses the business name. You can also hide the name in the body when the title already shows it, depending on how you configure the instance.
What templates are available?
One-column stacks address and phones vertically. Two-column places them side by side when the theme has enough width. Set the default under Settings, or override with the widget, shortcode template attribute, or Elementor layout control.
Does the plugin send data to GrandSlambert?
No. Contact fields stay in your database and render on your site. The plugin does not phone home or sync business details to GrandSlambert servers.
Is there a Plus version?
No. Business Block Widget is one free plugin under the GPL. The donate link on the settings screen opens the Business Block Widget page. Donate there is handled by Stripe. A donation does not unlock features or register a site.
Where can I get help?
Questions can be asked on the WordPress.org support forum. You can also write through the contact form. Step-by-step usage is on the Help page.
