Does MovieFrame require Elementor?
No. Movies, people, and the fallback templates work on their own. Elementor adds the widgets. The records you save stay in WordPress either way.
When does MovieFrame contact TMDb or OMDb?
When an administrator searches, imports, or tests a connection, and when the scheduled refresh updates movies you already imported. Visitors do not start a search. TMDb receives the search text or stored id, your API key, and a language at https://api.themoviedb.org/3. OMDb receives a title or IMDb id and your API key at https://www.omdbapi.com/. MovieFrame is not endorsed or certified by TMDb.
What does MovieFrame Plus add?
Plus lets logged-in visitors save a watchlist, mark a title watched, and leave a 1 to 10 rating. Get Plus downloads the add-on and then asks you to activate it. Watch data stays on your site. MovieFrame Plus does not call TMDb or OMDb. License checks send the license key, site URL, and a site instance ID.
