Does this work for guests?
No. Reading list and ratings require a logged-in WordPress user. Guests cannot save a list or leave a rating. Read status is want to read, reading, or read, and the rating is a 1 to 10 score, both stored on your site.
Does BookFrame Plus contact an outside service?
Reading list and rating data stay on your site. License activation and update checks send the license key, site URL, and a site instance ID to the GrandSlambert license server. BookFrame Plus does not call Google Books or Open Library. Book records stay in BookFrame.
Does the license turn itself on?
No. You activate BookFrame Plus yourself in WordPress and enter the key under Books → Settings → Plus. Downloading Plus does not activate it. Front-end reading list and rating features stay off without an active license. The plan on the BookFrame Plus product page sets the site limit (one site, 10 sites, or unlimited) and the term (annual or lifetime).
