MovieFrame Plus adds a watchlist, a watched flag, and visitor ratings to the free MovieFrame plugin. Films, posters, and the catalog stay in MovieFrame. Plus stores the personal list, the watched state, and the score on your site. It does not replace MovieFrame, and it does not send the library out with a license check.
What MovieFrame Plus adds
The watchlist is a movie box for a logged-in visitor. They save a film they want to see and open the list later. The shortcode for the list is the movie box, and the button is the watchlist button. Guests are asked to log in before a personal list is created. The saved films are rows in your database.
Watched status marks a title as watched from the movie page. The film can stay on the list, with a clear state for what the person has already seen. That state is stored with the visitor’s save. It is not a public badge unless you choose to show it in the template.
Visitor ratings use a 1 to 10 score. Each logged-in visitor keeps their own score, and the movie can show an average. The average is calculated from ratings on your site. It is not pulled from another movie database. MovieFrame’s own lookups, when you use them, stay a separate feature of the free plugin.
Elementor widgets cover the Watchlist Button, the Watched Button, and Visitor Rating. Matching shortcodes are the watchlist button, the watched button, the rating, and the movie box. Place the buttons on the single movie template, and put the movie box on a page for the signed-in visitor.
