This GalleryFrame Plus Frequently Asked Questions page collects the common questions about this plugin. The short answers below match the way the plugin works on your WordPress site today.
GalleryFrame Plus Frequently Asked Questions
Read the questions in order. They cover what the plugin requires, what stays on your site, and where to ask for help. If your question is not listed, use this plugin’s WordPress.org support forum. There is no separate support site. You can also use the contact form. Name the plugin and the screen you are on.
These answers do not change the GPL license in the plugin license.txt file, and they do not replace the company terms for accounts and checkout at https://grandslambert.com/terms-of-use/. Privacy details stay on the Privacy Policy page for this plugin. This GalleryFrame Plus Frequently Asked Questions page is the short form of that same behavior. It does not add a feature the plugin does not already have. If a step on the Help page disagrees with an answer here, follow the Help page and ask through the contact form.
Do favorites and ratings work for guests?
No. Favorites and 1 to 5 star ratings require a logged-in WordPress user. Guests see a link to log in. The favorite and the score are stored on your site and are not sent to GrandSlambert.
Does GalleryFrame Plus contact an outside service?
Favorites, ratings, proofing selections, gallery passwords, and downloads stay on your site. License activation and update checks send the license key, site URL, and a site instance ID to the GrandSlambert license server. Photo files are not included in that request.
What can visitors do on a gallery?
A logged-in visitor can save a photo and leave a 1 to 5 star rating. A gallery can require a password before the photos are shown. Clients can mark proofing selections, and you can export those selections as CSV from the gallery edit screen. A watermarked web download is generated on your site. An optional original download, when enabled, is for a logged-in visitor. These front-end tools stay off without an active license.
Which shortcodes and widgets are included?
Shortcodes are [gs_gfp_favorite_button], [gs_gfp_rating], [gs_gfp_my_gallery], [gs_gfp_album_password], [gs_gfp_proofing_bar], and [gs_gfp_download_button]. Elementor adds a favorite button, a visitor rating, a password form, a proofing bar, and a download button. The Loop Grid query ID for favorites is gs_gfp_favorites. GalleryFrame itself still shows the gallery. Plus does not replace it.
Where can I get help?
